Just read the latest Newsletter and found it to be very informative. The interesting thing though is the term "Astrological" as used in the last page of the newsletter "25 Years Ago". I believe the term should be Astronomical. Once again people with no understanding of the difference write articles ...

Has anyone seen this or used this type of instrument.
Would it be good for a beginner or is it worthless.
If it is useful would it be useful for outreach to teach?

Well then it must be Ceres.
Dwarf planet Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter and the only dwarf planet located in the inner solar system. (Google)
If I'm right you've started something which is a detective search.
