Windows 10 update

Post by bbones » Sun Sep 25, 2016 2:52 pm

Hi all

if any of you are taking a Windows 10 PC / Laptop to Kelling you might want to force a Windows update as I have just been prompted restart mine after a fairly long download.

Mine took about and hour for my slowest machine and make sure you check again once the main update has finished....

Also make sure if you are taking any skymap software (C2A, Sky Chart / Cartes du Ciel, Stellarium) that you have updated your orbital elements! :geek:

And that you've put the Lat/Long co-ordinates into your computer and mount-controller:
1 deg 7 min 56 sec East;
52 deg 55 min 36 sec North.

I've set my tripod to 53 degrees so when I put the tracker on it then the polar scope should be pointing at the right Polaris. For those that have not been to Kelling Heath there are so many stars visible finding the right one can be tricky.
